Hey there guys,

Just a quick question...

Which Lambo offers the best value for money, by this I mainly mean performance. Practicality if possible.

Thanks.

Got to be really, only option in terms of 2nd hand price vs everyday drivability vs upkeep costs vs smiles per mile.

Gallardo by far. fairly good boot but crucially wide but very short also with the nose lifting system speed bumps arnt a problem! Plus servicing/maintenance costs are a hell of a lot less than a Murci! smile

The Gallardo is your best bet, but if i could have any Lambo, i would have a Murcielago, just totally mad, however the running costs compared to a Gallardo are sky high.

enjoyable read though it is, it's not exactly your typical Murci owner experience though is it

No, but hats off to Simon, i mean the Orange Murci has covered 167K miles, some have not seen past 10K miles.

I have diablos and a murci, but also agree that the Gallardo best fits the bill of this post from my perception. It's less "out there", but this is also one of it's strengths. That said, I've always loved Lambos for that very reason.

I'd say the Gallardo is:
Easier to source as lots made.
Cheaper as a result too.
Easier to drive as modern, narrower and shorter
Reliable, most recently developed car under Audi
Practical roof on convertible version
Servicing less than Murci, though probably more than a diablo (but will probably need less maintenance/restoration per mile than a diablo)

Thanks Pete,

I agree with what you are saying yet I am still drawn to the Diablo, you seem to get soooo much for your money. Are spares expensive?

Would do but it's a question of money.
tens and tens of thousands would have to go into it, which I'd never get back.

It's very unlikely that I'll buy a Lambo in the very near future, I just wanted to know what everyone thought.
