Gallardo oil level check

Apologies if this has been covered before but the search facility isn't working

My oil dipstick (2005 car) has three holes punched in it. I assume one is min and one max but is the middle one supposed to be 'the normal' level? Also how much oil is required to top up from the min to the max marks?

if i can recall, quite a few gallardos of this age were recalled into garages to get an additional level indicator punched into it due to excessive oil - mine had the same thing and was told to ignore the highest max hole. Worth double checking with any lambo garage however as all should know about it.

My 07 car has only 2 holes in dipstick and manual says to aim to go bang between the two.

Mine took just under 1 litre to go from below the lowest to bang middle.

Cars I believe hold 9.5 litres in total so you do not need a lot for topping up.

MY04-MY08 take 8-8.5 litres of oil to fill the oil tank completely so 1 litre from minimum to maximum marks sounds about right

Give Mile Pullen a ring at Carrera Sport. He's well versed in this.
Later cars only have 2, think 07 onwards.
Earlier cars as mentioned had a mod to have a 3rd drilled in but I can't remember which one it max.
