London tonight 18/09/2010
Discussion
Afternoon all,
A bit of a desperate plea this one...
I need* to photograph a visually exciting car tonight in London and was hoping that somebody out there may be able to help me out? The session would be held at dusk into the night for no more than 4hrs, the location is being sorted as we speak and is located in Canary Wharf. Ideally the car would be a bright colour, but it's not vital. I'm more than willing to cover fuel and beer costs. The owner would also receive the images in hard format and digital.

If you'd be able to help me out please do get in touch through my profile.
Many thanks,
Dean

- I have been nominated as photographer of the year at the Headline Auto awards and would like to submit a new piece the 36 judges, before Sunday next week. The photographs are not for profit and so I hope this doesn't bend any PH rules?

Wow, those are some stunning photos!
I don't know anything about photography, so don't take this the wrong way, but how much (if indeed at all) do you rely on photoshop? The bottom two photos (GTR and TVR) look almost like they are from a computer game. How did you shoot the TVR one, the sky is so "moody" looking, was that "real" or did you change the colours in "post production"? Did you use some sort of external lighting on the TVR as it seems well lit up and in complete contrast to the sky etc. Do you have a high resolution version available of this one?
Again, amaazing photos!

Thanks. The GT-R photo is actually fairly free from photoshop abuse. The TVR has a wee bit of Photoshop work which was mainly darkening the sky (that is the original sky) and foreground, then adding a Cyan hue to the entire image, the car was lit with flash hence why it pops from the background.
As for a Hi-Res, I'll see what I can but it was shot for TVR and so they own the copyright.
