A real long shot but here goes.

Currently in Dijon on a road trip, rear Pirellis are in a sorry state.

Anyone got any ideas of where to get some on a Sunday around france? Really struggling to find anything.

Cheers

sorry dude but on sunday everything is closed in France - your only chance is Monday, try locate a Speedy, Midas or Feu Vert...they might be open on Monday - if open on Monday, cause they usually open on Saturday instead.

It is against the law to be open on Sundays in France except for a couple businesses on the Champs Elysees in Paris and bakeries until 13:00

Here's my repsonse on your other thread:

Sunday + France = Good Luck! The French are lazy buggers at the best of times.

How bad are the tyres? I had one of the rears on my 360 plugged in Norway after a screw found it's way into the tread - there was no chance of getting a new tyre up there. It lasted until the rest of the trip no problems.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Finding the same thing re Sundays and France.

Tread is down to a minimum causing aqua planing in the wet. Made the black forest interesting!

Tomorrow looks dry, with a bit of heat they should make perfect slicks for the run home!

I'd be inclined to take it easy and make your way back to the UK on them. If it gets wet again you can always use the "slippery conditions" button which boosts up the ASR (might be F1 only - it's by the Auto button on mine?).

Good luck!

Maybe speaking out of turn but surely if you were planning a European road trip you would check that the car/tyres/lights/etc were up to it in the first place?

Lot of money tied up in the car but skimps on tyres and is quite happy to attempt the journey home on virtually bald tyres. loser

O/T pains me to say this, but the French have some very good ideas! I'm a firm believer that sunday trading has massively contributed to people always rushing around and the deterioration of society.

Anyway, back to the tyres....

The car spent a week being comprehensively serviced prior to the trip with clearance from me to do anything and everything required to have it perfect.

The tyres were looked at, fronts replaced. It was thought the rears had a few thousand miles in them yet but road conditions matched with the Pirellis shocking wear rate meant they failed earlier then anticipated.

Anyway let's not let facts get in the way of stupid comments.

Thanks for your input, invaluable help. smile
