Have just seen this, looks like a repo in need of some attention, but which may be a bargain for someone who knows what they are doing. It is listed on autotrader for £30K, and is not on HPI.

I wonder what it would cost to get sorted. Anyone feeling brave?

Could be a good project. I'd love a pop at something like that...

This could be nice project to spend your weekends on. A quick check on the old regfinder suggests you might even be able to sell the number plate to cover some of the restoration costs.

I once saw a beaten up Diablo parked on the street in Bern (Switzerland) with small dents on every panel and paint flaking off revealing what appeared to be filler in places. Not too rusty though as the air is drier over here but what on Earth has caused that engine bay to get so scruffy? The interior looks OK but the engine bay looks like it's seen some Tsunami damage!

Out of interest, what elements of the Diablo's body were aluminium and what were steel?

The roof is steel and windscreen pillars.

A perfect example of how a simple comma can change the whole meaning of even a four word sentence! smile

Its on Auto Trader for £30k now.

BUT.... it appears to be missing some fairly important ducts between the airboxes and the plenum chambers. I wonder how long it may have run with out those??

I expect Douglas Valley will end up buying it for about half the asking price....

Be prepared to dig deep..... very deep!!
Buyer beware!!
However, if (and its a pretty big if) the engine and box are a 100% - you could spend 10k and breathe some life back in to this once stunning beast.

Try and search online for prices on Diablo spare parts like wings, engine parts etc... I get a chock every time a order a new small bit for my Diablo.

If a car looks like this inside and out, I really doubt that the mechanical condition is any better.

Bottom line, this will get expensive very fast.

SOLD ! I just called them to ask a few questions about the car with a view to buying it as a project and they told me that the car is now sold.

No doubt it will appear back on the market in 2 moths time, painted, valeted, new oil in the sump and with a fresh MOT for £10k over the selling price.
