I'm thinking of going to take a look at this car - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2205169.htm

Does anybody know it? I don't really fancy a 400 mile round trip if it's a dog!

PM is fine if you would rather not post - from what I've read, Walkersport are a good company?

Don't know the car but Tim at Walkersport is a great guy with an excellent reputation. I would not hesitate buying from him and more importantly the car is most recently looked after by Shiltech, I would not trust anyone more than Geoff with my Ferrari.

Am sure others will be along soon with actual experience of buying from Tim.

Happy hunting! thumbup

Walkersport have an excellent reputation. Just buy the car unseen. It'll be a good one.

That spider has to be worth the extra 6,000 beans, surley....less miles and better interior colour IMHO.

It wont be a dog - it'll be exactly as Tim describes it on the phone to you.

I travelled from London to buy my 360 from him and it was worth the journey.

Thanks for the feedback - I just spoke with someone at Walkersport and they sounded completely different to the normal dealer nonsense I'm used to.

The car is in prep and won't be available for viewing until next weekend so I think I'll go and take a look.

My only concern about the car (on paper) is the apparent lack of a clutch change?

Thanks again

The interior looks in good nick from the photos. Is it just me, or is that a rather good value car? I also like the colour combo. A 355 in similar condition/miles but 5 years older would probably only be a few £k cheaper....amazing what you can get for around the £40k mark or less

For me, the colour combo is spot on.

I guess it's Y Reg'd 2001 car so the price is about right, they have a F1 360 Spyder with 9k less miles for only £5k extra I think.

Tim has earned a good reputation & I'm sure he wouldn't risk this by selling a bad car.

I wouldn't be worried about the clutch as this is a manual car & they last a lot longer than on F1 cars.

You won't have any problems buying from Walkersport. Tim is a man of his word. His cars are impeccably prepared and if there is a problem with it after you buy it, he'll make sure it's sorted out. He's one of the few dealers who's actually an enthusiast.

Mark, Tim is excellent even though i havent bought from him (he had an ex-Jenson 360 which i missed by a couple hours) and he has helped me with a lot of advice.

car is probably what it is described like - however 1 minus point: that exterior color was quite popular back in early 2000, but i think it has lost alot lately...hence the discount compare to another color - it will hit you greatly at resale time wink

Agree, the colour probably isn't to everyone's liking but red is too shouty for me (especially parked on the street). Tim does seem to be a good chap, I'll hopefully head up next weekend to take a look.

I didn't end up buying from Tim, but I looked at one of his cars last year and he was totally straight up and a pleasure to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from him, even unseen.

Cheers,
Bryn.

Walkersport have always been helpful when I have spoken to them and have a good rep.

The price is average for that colour from a trader; it is no bargain. That colour is exceptionally hard to sell (second only to silver), so don't buy if you want to be able to get out of it fast.
