I've found that since I actually do far more mileage in my 355 since I got it than in my 100k mile daily snotter, I've picked up some amusing habits from my 355 that I still do when in the Clio:

a) I keep reaching for the handbrake on the RH side, flailing around trying to find it much to the amusement of my passengers....
b) I obsessively stare at the coolant temp and am genuinely surprised when it's up to temp in 4 mins flat....
c) I don't bother trying to use 2nd gear for the first 5 mins or so in each journey....
d) I approach speedbumps at a frankly stupidly slow speed so i don't ground the front bumper....
e) I only refuel with V-Power from Shell stations unless I am literally on petrol fumes....
f) I always try and blip the throttle on down shifts to match revs and make the change smoother....

Is this just me being weird or do other people have the same problem?!

Only the hand brake. Though on this one I keep going for it with my left hand as the 348 was LHD. This one is on the right!

Do you let your daily driver warm up for 20 mins to let all the cylinders catch? wink

That's mean! And I'm pretty sure they were all firing after 18 mins tongue out Although by the time you add the 10 mins of cranking....

When I am in our Suzuki Gand Vitara I sometimes go round bends in the road too quick.
If I am in the Gallardo and I want to flash some one to let them out, I sometimes activate the wipers and squirt the windscreen as the controls are reversed. This can be embarrassing.
There has been one occasion where I have taken the Gallardo to Tesco to do some shopping, then getting back to the car realising I am not in the Suzuki and have too many bags to fit in the car with ease.

Suppose my worst one is reversing into solid objects in the countach! Scraped both wheel arches one of which twice! Fortunately they are fibreglass so can be repaired very easily and was quite minor!
I find solid immoveable objects such as tress and houses jump into your path as soon as you try to reverse the car in particular in my 120ft long drive in the dark when it's raining! Suspect they do it under cover of darkness so you dont see them move!

I quite often pull both of the paddles in the Merc when I get to the traffic lights thinking I'm in the 360!

You all say this like it was a surprise - I did say that that is exactly what it would take to start it smile

Bloody garage queen... never seen rain or damp in it's life... I was actually quite surprised it started on it's own accord without the help of Del's Griff smile

However, we have now found that all 12 plugs were indeed shot (who does a bloody engine out service and doesn't replace the plugs for the sake of £100 I ask you rolleyes ), the leads were 20 year old originals and holding way too much resistance and, the rotor arms were both burnt to buggery!

But, as all 12 cylinders show bang on compression and with a nearly whole new ignition system, hopefully all will be well by Monday :fingerscrossed:

In its defence, when it had warmed up and I gave it a modest blip to 6000, it did wake up a few people dozing in the bar biggrin
