Checking Manufacturing Date

Looking to import a Ferrari to Oz and need an exact manufacturing date.

Can this be done from the chassis number

No, can't be done on a Euro car, a US car has the model year included in the chasis number.

Oh boy really, does that mean we will have to do aome letter writing to Ferrari HQ?

I've not done it for a Ferrari but I have for a Maserati - contaced Maserat Technical and they told me the date the car was made. Surely Ferrari would be able to do the same very easily?

I thought all chasis numbers had to say the year and month the car was made, but I've been wrong before.
