Question is, am I that brave?
Edited to try and fix the pics but can't see what I've done wrong so just left the address
Someone fix them for me please!

Depends if the rust is more than just superficial, what state the oily bits are in and whether or not you'd have to replace the entire interior
If you want to turn them into conkers winning cars, almost as deep pockets will be needed as for restoring a similar hand built Italian car of the same period . . . . . with the added joy that comes with trying to track down rare maser parts

My thoughts where to use the best of both and rebuild the convertable (yellow one in the background). They look like the same engine, panels and interior.
There are quite a few differences between the coupe and cab, if it were me, I'd buy both, keep the beeter of the two and punt the less viable candidate on via auction as you may make a decent profit by selling a barn find (I got more for a scruffy 308 barn find, than a scurffy but running car!) ETA: are the cars in scotland? . . . . . as I got offered a similar pair last year

Anyone want to guestimate the value for the pair?
I don't track Maseratis as much as Ferraris, but I'm fairly sure a concours Ghibli spyder goes for EUR250k, perhaps more. But a lot of the value can be lost if books/tools/history etc are missing. But values are going up as they are increasingly sought after as a replacement Daytona Spyder (who are now well north of a cool mil for a Euro version). It would be viable to restore this one and turn a profit, not something you see often. But bank on EUR200k to restore it properly.Restoring the Indy would be an act of charity. It would be difficult to find a buyer for an EUR80k selling price, so restoring costs would never be recouped. Doesn't mean you shouldn't restore it, I will lose money on restoring my 365 Boxer but it's still fun to do.
Onno
A nice Road going Ghibli is worth approx £45-60k, with a spyder approx £175-200k (based on the prices cars have sold for) the Indy as we all know is worth £20-30k
As resto projects, the cars value would depend on the overall condition and what’s missing from them . . . . . . . my guess would be £30k for both as projects, if you’re going to restore them all it's unlikely to generate a profit, but the spyder could be worth it, if it was cheap enough.
