Lambo advertising 3.5% on all new models ?

Is that a sign of the times or are all 100k + cars this low ?

So what kind of typical lease purchase deal would be available , deposit value ? 3-4 year then what balloon ? Assume LP560-4

Im trying to establish if this rate brings this type of car into my range ? I cant afford outright purchase but I do have a considerable amount of disposable income and some savings .

I also don't want to waste a garages time until i am confident i am in the ball park

The 3.5% only applies to new cars that are in stock.

Gents I appreciate the replies but I did say in my original post that it was on new cars myself

I'm trying to establish list price ? And potential deal ?

I think the basic list is in the £150s; Autocar report it as £147k in 2008 and of course with Euro currency fluctuations and inflation since then it will be more now - so when you have put options on it you'll be looking at nearer £200k.

I believe list is still 147.5k on a LP560-4 but could be wrong.

Remember VAT goes up next year, so you might want to get a move on because that 2.5% difference will be relevant on cars of this value?!

Wow nearly 200k with options,

I feel 140-150 would potentially be achievable but 200k perhaps not .

I think 200k is really pushing the G boundaries . I appreciate it's so much more car than the older G , but we are already up past Murci pricing of old.

Does anyone else feel this is getting a bit silly ?

I agree, I would never buy new, no matter how much cash I had. You could buy another 5 year old Gallardo with the amount of money you would lose in depreciation in it's first year!

The 560 Spyder sitting at £145k with a few thousand on the clock looks a decent car doesn't it!? I'm sure finance on used ones won't be too far behind the new ones...

The thing I always have found is that it's virtually impossible to get the advertised low interest rates from finance companies. I think they do this to lure you in.

Those details above are for a Spyder Egear, so a bit more expensive than a normal 560 coupe, but still £200k seems toppy. It must be well loaded, as thought list was about £162k.

Give Oracle Finance a call and tell them what you're looking for. They're a very good company, and can get some terrific deals. I don't know what the rate is, but I'm paying £1300 per month for my car, of which only £187 is interest. Their requirements are relatively tough though, need to prove net income > £150k, net worth > £500K, and > 15% deposit.

Ermm I'd avoid Oracle Finance as much as I possibly could. I don't know how they make up their deals but they offered me something at 11.8% to which I could only laugh and went to get my figures of about 1/3rd of that elsewhere.

Like most firms they won't offer you their best deals immediately, I can only speak from my personal experience.

I seem to remember someone telling me that if you assume a 30% balloon and work it backwards it won't be far off.

A standard manual LP560 Coupe is £151K on the road with current VAT.

A decent-spec E-Gear car is £180K + and I always spec them like this.

I've a Spyder in stock that's £202K! It's my lottery-win spec, so hopefully I've priced it out of the market long enough for my numbers to come up!

Call Mike Bowd at our office 0121 306 4007 if you want us to run through any finance numbers.

I accept that £180K is a lot of money, and that a 560 sounds expensive compared to the £130K for a Gallardo of 2007 / 2008. What you have to consider is that EVERY manufacturer at this end of the market has hiked prices to compensate for the reduction in volume they've suffered. When Bentley launched the Continental GT in 2003 / 2004 it was £110K. Now a Supersports Convertible can comfortably exceed £190K! They're in this to make profit, just like your businesses, so when volumes are cut in half, they need to get it from somewhere...
