Is this considered by 'most' as a must have on this model ? I am hoping to buy one in the next couple of months and have decided on most of the extra's I would prefer, just wondered what the 'guys with the cars' thoughts are? If it is desirable is it possible to retrofit or would this be a big waste of money. Thanks.

It's kind of essential actually. All Scuds should have them. I'm guessing the retrofit cost will be shocking.

Before I bought my Scud I looked at a used car with a grey steering wheel with LEDs, however I did not like the colour. Maranello looked into the cost of a like for like replacement and it cost something like £4.5. so adding one where it does not exist must be a lot more than that.

IMO, it is the must have option on a Scud.

You NEED it.

I'm guessing you cannot look at the rev counter and change gear effectively wihtout one.

The LEDS are in your peripheal vision and work a treat, especially at night when you're concentrating more.

Its a must have just to see them all light up when you turn on the ignition.
Plus its about all you dare look at while gunning through the gears........ no time to look at clocks !

Which is why the radio is the least needed option smile .

Granted in most cases. However, since its so good on the road I opted for model with the NAV/CD unit, its actually quite a welcome addition. The navigation unit is actually very good in terms of providing clear instructions.

I guess the next issue is gold wheels or dark titanium!

Not really, wheel colour is not an issue for me, just the original LED Steering wheel question, which has now been answered many thanks for the input..

You definitely need the steering wheel. Without it, it's really hard to go around corners.
