Gentle People,

After years of browsing through these forums and enjoying the cars, pics and jokes...it was time for me to register with PH as I need help, my one and only brother is getting married in May and as his only AND elder brother AND bestman I want to hire a Lamborghini for the weekend in May, preferably a Murci or a stunning looking Gallardo Spyder in a contrasting colour.

Could anyone recommend me any individuals/companies that won't rob me of my hard earned i.e. please NO Bradford, Manchester so-called "prestige car hire" companies

Kind Regards

Last weekend I hired an F430 from Northern Ferrari Hire in Chester. He also has a White Gallardo Spyder. Spot on service from Billy. Try him, I reckon I'll be using them again....

Curious terms and conditions include: "•Max height is 6’3’’. Max weight 18 stone" Is this sort of condition normal for supercar hire?

You'll find with driving experiences and such they will give similar terms and conditions. I think it's just to give an indication to who may not be able to drive the cars..

Not entirely height matters with a spider. I can understand the weight condition though. Wonder if they weigh you in the office beforte you are allowed to take the car out?

My biggest concern with any Supercar Hire concept is that:

It has taken 5 supercars and 8 years to actually learn how to drive a supercar fast but respectfully, with regard to preserving the clutch, tyres, and bodypanels!!!

Does anyone really think someone who hires a supercar will consider these factors............mee thinx NOTyikes

... perhaps if you were to ask if a Lamborghini owner would be prepared to drive the groom to the church / registry office and have the car feature in some photographs of the day after an offer to the car's owner of a bacon butty or two and a glass of well-chilled Prosecco for breakfast and the cost of a few gallons of V-Power.

[tongue-in-cheek mode ON] Most insurers will not cover hire or reward use, but an owner might ask for some kind of compensation for wear and tear to the passenger seat caused by moistening of the nether regions of any passenger or for the cost of the damage to the paint caused by lots of flash photography or even the expense of having to put extra fuel in to keep running the engine long enough to draw attention to the arrival of the passenger at the church / registry office [tongue-in-cheek mode OFF]

Good luck with something like this but I agree with various comments here - you're highly unlikely to get any on-the-road driving time of any kind behind the wheel of a Lamborghini or indeed any car of a similar nature unless you have a few million Kuwaiti Dinars or a big bucket full of shiny Krugerrand to hand over on the day!
