So according to Autocar Lamborghini have bowed to pressure and are going to build a limited run of mega expensive track only Sesto Elemento's for autumn this year. Has anyone put their name down for one and who much would you expect to pay?

Eh, as far I'm aware that's only speculation on Autocar's behalf.
They are looking at a limitted run of 10 ( ish ) cars at Eu 1.5m plus local taxes, but have yet to sign off on the project.
This is what I was told yesterday by my dealer.

For 1.5m euros do you get the girls thrown in for free!!! Seriously whilst it looks fantasstic (the car that is!!) how do they get to that sort of price for what is essentially a bit of CF bodykit or am I missing something?

At that price does it come with a free passenger, as displayed on the stand?

I would still expect to pay for accessories as needed (or not) the silver dress etc. hehe

Well if the press are to be believed its a hell of a lot more than a bodykit. After charging a million for the reventon which was pretty much a bodykit, 1.5mill for this seems cheap.

my point exactly. Just interested in what you get for the very large increase in price over (say) a Supperleggera to justify the cost or is it merely marketing hype (exclusivity etc) as per the Reventon?

I would think, if that figure is true, you'd get a more exclusive car than a Reventon! How many Reventons were they again?

Well for a start it weighs 999kg wet.

Add in the alleged 600bhp engine, and thats one feisty muthaf**ker.

Unlike the marketing ploy that was the Reventon the Sesto is a very different animal. For a start it is completely made of carbon using the new process they developed in tandem with I think it’s Boeing and weights in at less than 1000kg. That’s 400kg less than a standard Gallardo. Even with the standard engine you are going to see a massive increase in performance.

And as it will only be a track car, this will allow them to build it without compromise to on road performance.

But here's a question for you, if this car does come in at 1.5 million euro's, which would you rather have, an Elemento or a Zonda R?

I think it would have to be the Zonda R for me cloud9
