Right, went to get into the Gallardo this morning and hasn't been driven for probably a bout and week and the battery is completely flat. Trouble is the battery is so flat that the car won't even unlock, so I cant open the boot to jump start it.

I know there is a lock under the door handle but I just looked quickly as I was in a rush, but I couldn't get the key into the lock. Does part of the handle click off? I didn't want to mess about with it too much so just left it and thought I'd ask on here.

Any advice?

Thanks

The small curved piece of the door handle on the driver's side slides to gain access to the lock for the key. From memory it slides downwards, but be careful as it is not the most substantial of parts and you don't want to break it. Again from memory I think it helps if you lift the handle slightly when trying to get to it.

The procedure is in the owners manual, assuming that is not in your car.

I wouldn't bother trying the key in the ignition, no matter how tempting it is. Simply pop the hood and put it on charge until it has more then enough to start the car. If it is the original battery, when was the last time the water level was checked? Yes Lamborghini used wet batteries on the early cars, don't know about later ones.

bang on and defo need to the lift the handle slightly in order to slide the plastic piece out.
be very careful when doing this as it's very very easy to scratch or even worse break the lugs.
