Chaps,

I've got a small chip out of the paint on one of my calipers. I saw a thread where a detailer touched something similar up on a caliper but cant find it for the life of me. Have any of you done this and if so, what did you use?

I'm not sure if just a norma red touch up pen would do it and if so, which shade of red!

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Was it this thread? - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asph=0&am...

I have touched up red evo calipers before and used a "generic red" touch up pen. Not sure what colour code your maser calipers are but if the chips not that big then a generic red wouldn't look out of place. Might be worth sending a pm to the chap who detailed that cs. Hope this helps

Hi,

Thanks for that - I cant get the link to work but I think I know what thread you're on about - I'll search.

Its not a big chip but wasnt sure if just ordinary paint would do and be durable/heat resistant enough.

Thanks again.

http://www.gleamingkleen.co.uk/ thats the website for the detailer he used. He is also an active member on Detailing World so you could always PM him on there?

what colour are your calipers? Halfords sell caliper paint but only in "usual" colours of red, yellow, black etc. might get a decent match if chip not too large.

Thanks Ian. They're red. The chips arent too large - I'll take a look in Halfords, cheers.
