Which supercar?

Hi guys
In need of some advice. Looking to purchase my first super car, budget is 145k. Dream car is the lp560 spyder.

2 things I am concerned about is depreciation and the fact it will be parked on my drive where the car will be visible to people walking by. Area I live is decent but still corcened.

So what else is worth considering taking 2 the factors in to consideration?

If your that bothered by the depreciation already, just buy a Gallardo Spyder and save yourself about £60k................

Personally, I wouldnt park a G in the open unless it was well out of view. If you're bothered about people seeing it, perhaps go for something less 'in your face'. Added to the depreciation issue, for me, I'd be looking at a 599.

Alternatively, go with something older which a) wont lose much money, if any and b) seem to be less offensive to the smaller minded amongst us. A classic of some sort, maybe?

Mind, neither help with the LP dream, sorry.

Get a 2nd hand Ferrari 599. A serious amount of car for the cash.

Love to get the gallardo but again its very striking and would be too much attention. Again would be using it atleast 4-5 times a week.

DB9/S
R8

599 or DBS for me. Both excellent cars and not too "in your face" for driveway parking.

From that list immediately rule out 2(3) of the cars and leave it to 599 and DBS if they are happily in your range. Both serious, serious cars; I would take the latter but I'm mad about Astons.

Well you could always put a cover on it? It's a bit of a pain but it might take people's attention off a "bright shiny Lambo" in your drive.

If not you could always go for something more subtle like a Aston or Porsche. For £140k I would be thinking very seriously about a:
599
Aston DBS (or buy a used DB9 for £80k and spend the remaining £60k on something else)
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
Audi R8 V10 (although I would advise caution wish this as deep down you will still always want the Lambo
Gallardo spyder
Mercedes SLS AMG
