Hi,

Went to have a wheel alignment today and the garage said "Have you seen the oil leak, 'cos it's quite bad...". Now, the car hadn't dropped any oil when I left home and since returning home there's no sign of it losing anymore. I can't see where the oil leak originated from but there clearly was fresh oil dripping from the underside when the mechanic pointed it out to me.... I've got the car being picked up by Shiltech tomorrow but wondered if anyone else had suffered from an 'intermittent' oil leak in a Diablo?

Cheers

Adrian

I dont drive it that much to be honest, only managed to wrestle it away from the previous owner 6 months ago and done probably 700 miles since then.

The oil was at the rear of the engine, dripped down from well below the head gasket and also appeared to be on the slatted grill between the exhausts. Oil pressure/level seems fine, no warning lights etc.

nothing is cheap on these cars, rear of engine hmm, i had a water leak from the pump, started to do it myself then thought sod it, chris at autofacinna done it when i had the clutch done recently, its a big job to get to that area and beleive me, I changed the cats for test pipes. 14 hours. best to get it done though, cheaper in the long run. who is doing the work and what experience have they got, worst thing you can ever do is give a diablo to a YEH we can do those cars, most of them are full of st and can do more harm than good, especially on my 6 ltr.

How often did the previous owner drive it and how many miles has yours done, email if you prefer

Hiya Mate

Some background on the last lot of dodgy owners and how they used the beast...
I used it regularly, so no chance of the seals drying out with me!
The guy I got it from had it for just over a year, and sadly, due to back problems didn't get to use it much.
The guy previous to that also used it regularly.
The tail goes cold previous to that.

I think both the previous owners to me, are on PH
