When browsing the website of my local Ferrari showroom looking for details of the F40 I spotted whilst driving passed, I spotted this: http://www.dealer.ferrari.com/carrs/used/FERRARI/E...
Now I found it very odd that this was for sale as I was under he impression that Ferrari invited you to buy cars like the FXX and even then they still owned them. My initial train of thought was that you cannot sell it either.
Can anyone shed any more light on this?

Cheers, Bob

Invite to buy brand new, yes, but they can hardly block someone from selling when they no longer want it.

A well known uk based car.

The owner had a long thread over on ferrarichat about running the car in the fxx program.

I do love the fact that the engine has had an "upgrade". Does anyone know what that would entail? Or are they referring to a re-build? thumbup

There is also an FXX coming up for auction in the USA shortly - cant find the advert - & i think that the guide price is around $1 million.

Totally impractical car but who cares? I saw the FXX's being run at the Ferrari event at Silverstone a couple of years ago.

Visually not the best looking car around but sound wise they are pretty hard to beat. The noise from the pit garages when they had 7 or 8 fired up at the same time was sensational.

If only i had the money....

Do you have a link for this?

This car has been for sale for quite a long time now, I can't see the second hand market being particularly bouyant for it; noise limits would restrict it from most tracks in the UK and now the FXX programme is no longer running, it's surely only really any good as a museum piece?!

Good grief! you dont miss a thing do you? thumbup Yep, you got me there. As much as I am a standard bearer for a stick shift even I realise that there time has come to an end. Anyway this is a track car so a paddle shift is more acceptable. Thats my story and I am sticking to it biggrin
