Hi Guys,

I figured out my Ferrari 360 problem! I need a new alternator! Anyone know how much this would cost or any advice on where to go?

Need my ferrari back in fully working order! x

have you tried Eurospares? They sometimes break cars for spares so you might have choice of new or second-hand. I have always found them most helpful.

Look into getting yours rebuilt... it'll most likely work out a lot cheaper.

To change the alternator is a straight forward job. You can see it is very accesible if you take the undertray off as it is at the bottom of the engine. The inspection cover behind the seats in not really required but hey, it helps. Labour should be no more than 2 hours MAX!!!

Part is 500ish, new belt under £20.

See pic for location (car in workshop at the moment having new belts.

Are they Bosch units? You can get those rewound (and sometimes up-rated) for <£100! Very ditto what the previous poster said about labour etc - very standard 'not marque specific' stuff smile Don't let your wallet get raped over something so generic biggrin
