The door catch just flaps about and has become disconnected from the mechanism. Should I get this done by a specialist or a decent garage that says "No problem, we will do that?

Also, anybody had this done and how much did it cos? Thanks

Take the door card off, very simple procedure. Look for the little yellow clip that will have broken, replace, and put your door card back on. I think it is part number 14578180, cost under £1.

To remove door card; (PLEASE NOTE: This is just from memory, please take care when doing this as I may have missed something out... It has been a while.

-Lift leather insert in handle recess. Lift handle, undo phillips head screw.

-Undo top two allen key heads at top of handle and the ones on the aluminium trim.

-Lift the arm rest part of the doorcard, this is push fit so will just pop out, loosen x2 8mm nuts and relaese cable, relaese cable from handle.

-Remove screys underneath the doorcard and up the side (front side)

-Pull doorcard from bottom, lift up, remove speaker cable

I hope this helps. Sorry if I have missed something on the doorcars, its late and I have not done one in a while

Here's the removal procedure. If you need a new cable then Geoff @ Shiltech might still have some in stock - otherwise you have to buy the whole mechanism from Ferrari.

You have been lucky, this is a very fragile area on the car.
