In basic terms what is the base price of a 458 and what could you expect to pay for a good spec car 'list' rhd UK model?

Going to upgrage the Gallardo.

Smidge under £170K list so with decent options I would say anywhere north of £180K obviously not taking into account any premiums (which I think they are still attracting).

Some of the options (like certain paint types at £13K) are mega bucks though so it wouldnt be hard to spec one up to £200K

It's not that bad still is it? Can't you pick one up for about £20k over?

I priced one up with a dealer the end of last year and a reasonable spec car without going for any silly options came out at £195,000. The delivery offered was 18 months. A deposit of £30,000 was required when the order was placed.

That makes sense as a decent spec gets you to £200k with a £20k premium and lo and behold you get to £220k. Some of the sensible options are very highly priced so without going for silly paint etc you can quite easily get to £190-£200k. Marinelo had a yellow one on show last year which was £169k basic but £215k on the road with no premium.

BS you don't need to pay ANY premium for a new F car from a proper dealer - it's only if you want one now rather than the standard waiting period and are going indirectly that you will have to do something silly liek that. Call a reputable dealer.

That's true but you'd wait a long time if you ordered today. There would be 458 spiders on the road before you received your coupe if you order now.

Maybe the OP doesn't want to wait, if he does, I'm sure he knows that he doesn't have to pay over list to order from an authorised dealer. Main dealers are not allowed to sell used cars over list whilst a new one can still be ordered even if they want to, it's part of their contractual obligation with the manufacturer.

They are allowed to and do so. They just cannot advertise newly released cars for a certain amount of time.
