Ouch. Looks like the car stood up to it well though, and no-one hurt which is good news. Sounds like the owner has quite the collection too..!

I did search, couldn't see this mentioned anywhere. According to the report, it's one of the most expensive single-car accidents recorded..!

Financier Mr Korbach, who also owns a string of other sports cars including two Bugatti Veyrons, two Lamborghinis and a Porsche-based Gemballa Mirage, was on his way to Milan for the official presentation of the new Pagani Huayra - which he has recently ordered.

The Huayra is Pagani's replacement for the Zonda.

He has also ordered the new McLaren MP4-12C - a car widely anticipated to be Britain's greatest ever supercar.

All at 28! Looks like he's proping up the car industry on his own! biggrin

Both occupants are very lucky to have escaped serious injury it would seem looking at these pics. The car must be incredibly strong http://galeria.totalcar.hu/hirek/2011/02/20/zonda_...

Here it says he's 27 and the car was doing 200mph? seems a touch unlikely.

Also mentions he now owns gemballa?

I appreciate the austriantimes might not be peak of investigative journalism though.

It's been slated as rubbish... this would appear to be closer to the truth but the reports I've read seem to be either playing it down a bit or sensationalising it.

Edit - The crash pics do look pretty harsh, though it's tough to guess how the Zonda reacts in a crash, it's not a regular occurance wink

Now as much as I don't believe for one second he was doing 200mph...he was going a damn site faster than 62mph to do that sort of damage!! The top picture here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1359914/1-...

more than backs that up!!

62mph is just his companies PR team doing some damage limitation (no pun intended)

Agreed Stuart, I don't believe he was doing either of the quoted speeds... it's a big insurance claim to screw up by saying the wrong thing hehe

If we believed all of the above articles I'm confused about how he has enough time in his day to be editor of a magazine, co-owner of a car company and an investment banker - unless he has some seriously magic skills...

More often than you might think!

C12s 7.0, Hong Kong

C12s 7.3, Scotland

F Coupe, England? (well an English car)

F Coupe, Hong Kong

The one we are discussing F Roadster

C9 (Huayra) Prototype, Germany?

And these are only the big crashes!
