Black 430 Spider
Discussion
what is everyones view of a 430 spider in Nero Daytona with a black interior? Would it be a nightmare on resale or is it a reasonable colour? Not my first choice I have to say but the car is an exceptional example at a reasonable price.
The other issue with the car was that it was bought new and put in a private collection and never used so did not have the first 2 annual services. It was then returned to the supplying dealer who did a major service. All this was confirmed by the supplying dealer but will this effect future resale?

I am no expert but I dont think you will have a resale issue with colour as black is quite popular. The service issue is a moot point and been covered before. I think it is fairly binary - One camp demands every service on time in the book and the Other is more interested in how the car performs when it is driven. If it has had major going over by the dealer and (I assume) you then drive it and put some miles on it then you will be able to show it drives well and no issues with seals etc. You will not satisfy the "nust have full service record" camp though. I guess it comes down to how much the car is up for and whether you want it enough. If you dont like the colour and are just worried about resale then my advice is dont buy it as you will never really like it. I hope this helps.
Nice Colour, although it often works well with a contrasting light interior.
One of the best colour combos I have seen on 430 was Nero with Nero, Yellow Callipers, Scuderia Shields (wing badges which are mostly Yellow, and sets off the Yellow Calipers well). Inside it had Yellow Dials, and Yellow Stitching.
So nearly all black but with a few small contrasting Yellow details, worked really well.

I would think this would look great. Indeed when I bought my 360 I started with a list of "Musts" and "Desirables" It had to be red with crema interior. Yet I ended up with grigio alloy. I am so pleased i did. I find the comments from others really positive and it suits the cars lines so well.As for resale, there are always going to be people who will not entertain a certain spec but then they may be looking forever.
