Hi all, I need to renew my policy at the end of the month and the renewal from Adrian Flux has gone from £380ish to £600!!!. Anyone had a decent quote elsewhere recently?

FYI its a 348TS, 3000-5000 mile policy (Second Car) and i'm in my thirties. Did use to use Hagerty but they stopped doing these policies.

Thanks in advance

Just had a similar scare from Adrian Flux myself this morning. VXR8, insured with AF for the last three years, full No Claims, no change in circumstances.

Firstly haven't had any renewal notice as yet, which am a little surprised about....

More over, rang this morning when they said the cheapest they could get was £2K+??????? Was paying around £880 (main car, insured for 25K miles / year). Admitedly they have said they will contact me on Monday with other quotes as they can't contact all underwriters at the moment (it's currently a Saturday), but blimey......

Just insured an alfa spider with Norton (heritage) on classic car agreed value policy....all in just over £200 and you can do track days too.

Previous insurer was £500,so tried all the usual comparison sites, but the above was not only the cheapest but offered the best tailored cover.

Try Locktons they were really good for my 355 and they cover trackdays under the Ferrari Owners Club policy, not many firms offering anywhere near the cover they are offering

Renewed my 355 policy less than a month ago, was with Flux and now with MWA (Michael Ward Associates). Speak to Ben there, excellent customer service and very competitive prices.

Thanks, waiting for the quote now. Locktons came back with £460 (though I did have to chase them for the quote)

Interesting. There are a couple of options on here that i wasn't aware of.
I'm new to Ferrari ownership, are there benefits of cheaper insurance through the owners club?

I just got covered with Locktons (underwritten by Chubb) via FOC today after reading this thread. I'm 29, 10 yrs NCB in SW6 London, clean licence: £684 for 7500 miles per year, agreed value, £500 excess, my mods covered, can test drive others cars fully comp, choice of repair place, euro cover for up to 90 days at a time, RAC euro cover included, the list goes on. I am a *very* happy bunny. Oh, and I got one year's free FOC membership as well worth about £70 if memory serves....

Next nearest quality outfit was MWA underwritten by Aviva. Ben Stagg was v helpful (cheers if you're reading this!) but they were ultimately beaten on the quality of the cover and price.

As I posted on Facebook earlier:

"An all singing all dancing insurance policy? £684
Free year's membership of Owners Club (normally £70) courtesy of policy? £0
Being able to stick one to Admiral by getting *much* better specialist insurance underwritten by Chubb for £200 less than they quoted? Priceless

There are some things in life that money can buy, for everything else, there's screwing people you hate."

For the people who know my history with Admiral, you can understand why I'm happy smile

ETA: oh and it gets better...

Locktons Lady this morning on phone after I've scanned and emailed docs: "There we go sir, you're covered"
Me: "What? I haven't paid yet"
LL: "Yes, but you're covered from now, we'll just send you an invoice in the post"
Me: "Brilliant, but if you can take payment by card over the phone, I'll pay now if you like"
LL: "We can do, but you'll have to pay 2% extra for card fees, so best just wait for the invoice and send us a bank transfer using the details in that"
Me: <shockedbuthappysilence>

I should have mentioned Locktons to you earlier Mario.
Great service and I couldn't believe my quote.
Down from £1600 to £496 with one phone call thumbup
Same extras as you mention, full RAC Europe etc etc. Amazing value.

These are the only people not to get back to me.

So far Locktons seem to be the best

Another vote here for Footman James! I suffered from Hagerty no longer doing the policy so my insurance doubled from £860 to £1660!

Footman James however managed to beat my initial rate at just £835 (I'm 27 by the way)

As with Mario Locktons were the best for me (inc free FOC membership with in the price when I said I wasn't a memeber)

A lady Claire Manton was very helpful, even answering emails when they were closed so gets my full recommemdation
