Sold my 348 a few weeks ago in time for the arrival of our first baby.

Her crying from 1am until 6am just doesn't sound as good as a De Catted Sports Exhaust.

How times change !!!!

Enjoy every minute of it as you'll be amazed how quickly they grow and in no time, you'll be in a position to replace the 348 including a booster seat and take your little girl out for a drive with you. driving

I found myself looking at Manual 456s last night. The four seater Ferraris look a bit more appealing with my current position. Just don't know if I'm a bit too young for one of those at the minute scratchchin

In exactly the same boat here....sold the 360 Spider as the little one is on the way; wish I would have kept it a few more months, but was made the right offer!

Like you I keep looking at anything fun with 4 seats....have you looked at quattroportes?

Love QPs but not as a weekend toy - I just fear that if i bought a 2 seater i would never use it so i would only go as far as a 2 + 2. My old man runs a 4200 which rules those out and the only car that excites me is a 456.

i looked at M3s which are great but too normal and i also looked at the new Focus RS but they're a bit too chav - My baseball caps went in the bin a few years ago !

No matter what the banshee wail of Ferrari's finest, nothing will sound as good as when she first looks at you and says "Gagdy" (or similar) which to her means Daddy.

My Granturismo S is bigger than my Gransport and I now have a 1yr and 6 yr old and we can get baby seats and booster seats and booster seat plus bugaboo and baby bag and assorted stuff that comes with a new baby. You will not be disappointed with the engine and engine sound. 8k miles in and the engine revs very very freely.

I swapped my 355 for a M3 CSL - only 2 door but 4 seats = best of both worlds.

I know they're awesome, just massively out of my budget - I wouldn't really want to spend anymore than 35k

Dont get why you feel you're not old enough for a 456. I'd never seen them as old person cars! I'd have one if I had to swap the 355 for a 4 seater, and I'm in my 20's still!

The 456 is a stunning looking car! One of the best looking cars ever made in my opinion!

456s are more of a Gentleman's express - You know late 40s early 50s, little bit of grey hair, tweed sports jacket, cigar ect ect.

What I'm trying to say is I'm probably not enough of a gentleman to pull it off - I'd feel that every time I drove it I would have to be smartly dressed. I'm 30 and immature and just think it bad manners for me to run one yet but can't really think of anything else that fits the bill?

I should really be looking at a 360 but I know I would never have time to use it and would end up regreting the purchase.

Just buy the 456!!! TDF Blue. And keep a tweed jacket in the boot for whenever you drive it!

Then fit it with a Tubi!

Thats good to know!

OP, if your Dad has a 4200, how about a GS? If your budget is £35k, you'll have your pick of the bunch! Larini back boxes and everyone's a winner! smile

If its a weekend toy, you could even go lairy on the colour!

Yeah I've thought about one of those but my old man is looking at one or a QP when his sells.

You must be a Doctor Who fan then? He wears one these days, so they're bound to become cool!

I'm just plain sad however.... my 355 Spider is guarded by a full size Dalek!
