It's a bit epic but thought you chaps might enjoy looking at this - the comments from other detailers are telling too!

I can see why he pays someone else to do it; lovely result but what a boring process laugh

I've never seen, in these kind of threads, the wheels being removed to clean. Any reason?

I think they do, generally. I've seen a couple of threads like this one where the wheels are taken off and cleaned and also the wheel arches are cleaned thoroughly.

Nope. Just never seen it on a reportage thread. Not that I've seen many. Always though it odd that they clean the inside of the headlight bulbs, but don't remove the wheels.

Thought I must be mistaken.

I think that there might be 'issues' with removing wheels. Better to invest in some expensive brushes that can do the job. I read most of that thread the other day. I don't think I need to see another paint depth gauge pic ever again. The car comes up spankin' though!

Thats what I'd imagine, even some Porsches have centre lock wheel "nuts".. Its not worth it on the insurance, might aswell just have a poke around with a brush.

Very impressive process......does anyone know if there is anything similar offered in Bournemouth area as my 'pride and joy' could do with some TLC.....

Depends what you mean by similar - nobody is as good as Kelly. I had a paint correction done by him on my M3 and it was the most amazing bit of work you've ever seen. I asked for the orange peel to be reduced and when I got it back, it looked simply amazing - well worth a 300mile round trip IMHO! He can make your car look better than new it needs to be seen to be believed - the photos on here just don't do his work justice no matter how good they are!

He's definitely one of the less expensive guys out there. And it's all done in a lock up, so not on your drive with dust and rain etc.

Certainly, under no circumstances relate less cost to a lesser job, though.

People have been telling him to raise his prices for years hehe
