Originally Lambo stated that there were no moveable rear wing vents on the LP700 (like they have on the LP640), but this picture from Inside Line of one lapping Vallelunga shows differently...

Or is this just some bodywork falling off? hehe

And again here:

And here you can make them out on the right hand side:

They don't seem very 'finished' like the LP640 vents, though if they're more functional it's all good.

I was led to believe that the cooling vents do exist and work in the same way as the LP640, however they hinge in the opposite direction.

(The top edge rises rather than the bottom)

They do have the moveable vents/flaps.

I specifically asked Mr Winkelman about this at the private viewing last November, since I run the LP & Murcie with the flaps constantly up. I also asked if they could be kept up constantly by the method I had found (which involves raising them manually via the dash switch then quickly turning off the engine before hitting the battery isolator switch.) This fools the ecu's into thinking the flaps are down and then they stay up..

He grinned when I explained this and said the new ECU's wont be fooled. The new vents will only raise when the ECU's deem it nessacery. On the current Murcie's/LP's this is when the ambient (outside) temp reaches 30deg or the water/oil temp rises significantly

Ah i see, gotcha.

I seem to remember an article in evo (i think) where they talked to Winkelmann a while ago and he said that there were no movable Wing vents. Seems very odd, but with the panel on the wing it was pretty obvious!

Love it, those raised airducts give it a Countach'esque look.

Especially in that picture of the white one.

Maybe it's just a bit of bodywork hanging off. My TVR used to do that about 15 years ago smile
