Supercar Family funday 2011 - The total
Discussion
Dear friends,
No doubt you have been wondering what the fantastic efforts of the drivers, volunteers and all of you who came along to support The Children's Trust have achieved at The Supercar Family Funday (aka Dad's Day Out) 2011. As most of you know, in 2009 you raised £32,000 and in 2010 the total was £65,000.
This year we have taken in excess of.....
£100,000!!!!
In all our wildest dreams we could not have not imagined such a huge sum raised in one day.
This sum will make a huge difference to all the Children who rely on the Trust and all the vital work they perform on a daily basis.
A few other interesting stats, we had around 7,000 visitors, there were around 300 Caterham rides, 1175 Supercar rides and a host of hovercraft and helicopter rides too.
Our sincere thanks go out to each and every one of you who took part in the event.
Many many thanks and we hope to see you all again next year,
Rich, Bachi & Pete."

Good job! That's a great result.
And thanks to everyone involved for a great day out too.
I left with a mile-wide grin thanks to "Dan" in his white Gallardo, my son proved his PH credentials by picking a XBow for his ride (and loved it) and my wife was charmed by a young man in a Ferrari...
Well done to all - same time next year?

Was he a devilishly handsome*** chap in a blue 355 Spider with an antisocially loud exhaust perchance?!

***= i.e. beard, carrying a few too many lbs and wearing an old scruffy baseball cap

Awsome amount for a great cause !!!! Big thumbs up to the organisers, I cant even begin to imagine how much effort was involved in a day of that scale.
It was a top day made all the better thanks to the weather and friendliness of all. I felt the layout and events off track worked really well this year. Not that I saw much of it because i has having so much fun taking pax rides
This weekend ill be mainly cleaning the bugs off a not so white X-Bow

A message from The Children's Trust Tadworth
The Children’s Trust is tremendously indebted to all the drivers and their supporters who made Dad’s Day Out 2011 such a success. I have had outstanding feedback from people who attended and lots of positive comments from those who had Supercar rides. In fact the words’ positive comments ‘ don’t get anywhere near the ecstatic ravings of many of our participants who simply can’t wait to come back next year. The drivers and owners are so generous with their time, their enthusiasm and passion, their wonderful cars and their money – we are really grateful to them. We also really appreciate the terrific support we get from all the volunteers who help at this event and get involved with the planning and preparation. Without their unstinting enthusiasm, hard work and energy this event simply couldn’t happen – they are an extraordinary team to whom the Trust owes a great deal. Their efforts help us to change lives. I know too that it is expensive to give our participants the ride of a lifetime and that petrol and tyres alone are a very significant donation from the supercar owners. I really appreciate the commitment all these big hearted individuals give to the Trust and the families we help. They are making a real difference. It is fantastic for the Trust to benefit from such an exciting and innovative event. It helps us reach out to new supporters, keeps our profile high and has generated £100,000. What an amazing result. Please thank them on our behalf. I think they are amazing.
