Who's fettled?
Discussion
So looking down the list of
coming to VMAX next month, I was wondering who has altered their car to enhance it's performance, looks, etc.
Is my 'fettled' XKR really going to be royally stuffed by all and sundry
Edited to say:
Let's have a list of what you've done as well.

I have had some engine work and other stuff done to mine, the details are in my car profile. It is a little faster than standard.
I would be very interested to know what work as been done to the TVR power car that is coming along.....they can create some real monsters!!
Looking forward to the day and meeting old and new faces.
Best Regards

Yes Guy - Let's do the HW meet again. Joust?
I may come along for the ride if you don't mind. However did you know it's Supercar Sunday at Gaydon that day?
Stig, theres no spectators unless you're driving, as mentioned in other threads.
This is correct. Although problem solved if passengering to the venue in the goodlife mobile.

Upgrading power to a standard braked XKR without doing the anchors? Nuts!
I saw the master cylinder spewing boiled fluid!
I have had two XKRs (one a 4.2) and they both had the 20" wheels and drilled Brembos. They used to get a bit hot (hooning through the Alps etc). Gawd knows how Jaguar were allowed to make a car in standard form that fades its brakes during one stop from less than its maximum speed. My colleague had one that slowed (in a hurry) from 150 and by the time he got 50 the pedal had gone to the floor. That was the first time he had used the brakes for 15 minutes on the road...Scary!

Must say the anchors are certainly the next upgrade. But £4k just doesn't pass the 'reasonable' test. Will keep hunting breakers/dealers for a 2nd hand set, unless you know of somewhere/somehow else to improve the stopping.
Try joe at Hyperturismo. He is helpful and affable.

Or speak to Guy Salmon Jaguar in Oxford 01865 865100. Very helpful service desk.
Beware that the brakes alone may cost £4k, but your rims need to be changed too... There must be a Brembo=ed XKR in a breakers somewhere?
