Hi everyone, just wanted to share with you all about the below. FREE to attend if you're interested:-
2011 DeLorean EuroTec Weekend - 24th June 2011 - Norfolk, UK
The 6th year of this event!
This event is taking place across the weekend of Thu 23rd, Fri 24th, Sat 25th, Sun 26th June 2011 in Norfolk. As with the Lotus 2006 event and the highly successful sell-out EuroTec events in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, this will be centred around club member and DeLorean car owner, Arran's (that's me!) private hotel. Attendance at these events is always high, and 2010's event had 125 people in attendance, of which 45 were DeLorean owners with 35 DeLorean cars.
As with the last 5 years, this will be a guaranteed sell-out, and the best rooms will be allocated in booking order. At the moment the entire hotel (40 rooms) has been blocked booked for this event's exclusive use, so please book soon to ensure it stays this way! Strong interest has already been shown again for this event, as before there is NO charge for the event itself, just the cost of food, drink and accommodation. Previous years have been attended by 30-40 DeLoreans. The entire hotel is used exclusively just for this event.

The basis of the weekend will be around 'Workshop / Tech sessions' throughout the weekend, as well as socialising and meeting new faces. A workshop marquee will be set up to provide shelter and areas of work, and as before we will take over the bar for the weekend
Specialists will be on hand to provide us with technical and hands on assistance over the course of the event. This will involve engine tuning, wheel alignment, minor bodywork re-graining / repairs, torsion bar adjustments, etc. etc.! Many more 'activities' are planned, details to follow. A rolling road will be in attendance on the Friday from the morning.
As before we will be arranging a scenic drive and other activities over the weekend (mainly on the Saturday) - more to be announced later. There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend, with something for eveyone. As usual, the main organisers will be Arran, Mike, Alistair, Nick T and JRG.
Food costs and menus (see above for "DeLorean Drivers Free Food Offer"):
Friday 7.30: Main course, plus self serve dessert - £11 per person
Saturday 8.00-9.30: Breakfast (included in accommodation price)
Saturday 1.00: Lunch Buffet (hot and cold) - £6 per person
Saturday 7.00: 3 courses including wine - £23 per person
(starter, buffet main course (large choice including 2 carved meats, chicken, fish, salads, etc.), self serve dessert)
Sunday 8.00-9.30: Breakfast (included in accommodation price)
The total price to ensure that you are well fed from Friday night until Sunday morning will be £40 per person total (for those that don't qualify for the "free food" offer). Other than drinks that should be it!
If you stay on Thursday night as well you will get a 50% discount on all food purchased all day Thursday and up to 3pm on Friday. If you stay on Sunday night as well you will a 50% discount on all food purchased all day Sunday. The same discount system applies to all extra days booked! - even if you stay for 2 weeks!
You will also get a 50% discount on all food purchased before 3pm on Friday.

Wheeler Dealers
Discovery Channel show Wheeler Dealers is selling a DeLorean! Wheeler Dealers is a programme where we buy iconic classic cars, fix their faults and then sell them on.
For the new series we’re featuring a DeLorean which was bought in California and has recently been shipped into the country. It is currently going through the full Wheeler Dealers treatment. We plan to bring it to the EuroTec event on Friday 24th June. We intend to showcase the event and also sell the car whilst it is there to create a great finish to the episode. Therefore we're currently taking offers on our DeLorean.
OK - here is the draft itinerary!:
Remember the event is FREE to attend, you only need to pay for food and accommodation and drinks - if you want them!
THURSDAY
35 DELOREAN PEOPLE STAYING TONIGHT, WITH 18 CARS
8:00-9:30 – Breakfast
Lunch/dinner available in the bar all day until 8:15 (last orders) and in the restaurant from 6:00 until 8:15 (last orders) (a 50% discount is automatically applied to all food you order off of the menu and put on your room bill)
Afternoon – help/watch Arran assemble the marquee in the car park!
7:30 – meet in the bar for drinks (optional) then and sit together in the restaurant for dinner (optional). A special three course light menu will be arranged, £8 per person will be charged to your room if you opt to join in, or make your own arrangements (see above).
FRIDAY
75 DELOREAN PEOPLE STAYING TONIGHT, WITH 27 CARS
TODAY FROM 11AM THE HOTEL IS EXCLUSIVELY USED JUST BY US
8:00-9:30 – Breakfast
10am-4pm - Rolling road. If you would like to go on it please see Mike or Arran – there is a £45 charge for this, although you can go on more than once if you want (with the same car). This can be added to your hotel bill, or paid to Mike, Maria or Arran directly.

10am-5pm: Tech session in the car park:

7:30 onwards – Dinner
Salads, olives, bread, then a choice of two main courses, followed by self-serve dessert
9:15 in the restaurant - Rolling Road "awards", followed by Q and A with Stephen Wynne, President of DeLorean Motor Company (Texas)
9:30 Q and A with top secret guest. I know who it is, but for some reason I am not allowed to reveal who it is as yet!

TODAY THE HOTEL IS EXCLUSIVELY USED JUST BY US
8.00-9.30 Breakfast
9am-4pm - Tech session in the car park:
10:00 (optional) assemble in the car park to drive to the Classic Car Auction and Autojumble in King’s Lynn, PE30 4NB. £5 entry, gates open at 10am, auction starts at 1pm, although you will miss lunch here if you stay for the auction. 12:45 Lunch buffet in the bar – sandwiches, pastries, samosas, spring rolls with dips, mini quiches, mini fish & chips, mini chicken and chips, mini desserts etc
1.30-4.00 – Giant Scalextric championships (in the restaurant). This is a 4 lane, 160 foot, race track, with pit crew, marshalls, and is timed, with an overall 1st,2nd,3rd and "podium ceremony"!
2.30pm. Chris Nicholson regraining demo on Nick T’s roof in the “Spax tent”
4pm – Short convoy out to somewhere local for a few photos
5.30pm –Back here – rest
Dress up all posh for:
6:30 – cocktails in the bar
7:00 onwards – Dinner (three courses)
8:15 in the restaurant – The “awards ceremony” (brief)
8:30 onwards – Casino Night! This is a professionally organised thing - you will all be provided with chips, there are 3 "real" gaming tables (in the bar/lounge area), and the target is to end the night with the most chips left.
As a result, for those who have been before, there will be another bar seating area in the top section of the restaurant. This area is also the designated music area.
11:15 – Casino Night winner announced / awards.
Most importantly the suggested dress code for the Saturday night is "black tie" - i.e. tuxedo/bowtie for the gents, posh dresses for the ladies. This is not enforced, but you'll find most people will be dressed this way - as we did in October last year.

Potential buyers should be aware that the car isn’t completely finished as it is currently being worked on, however I’ve detailed the work that will be carried out.
Year: 1982
Mileage: 23 700 miles
Transmission: Manual, 5 speed
Engine: 6 cylinder

Recent work carried out:
- new clutch master and slave cylinder
- new fuel system (new pump kit, new fuel filter, new fuel lines, new sender unit, new belts and hoses, new 02 sensor)
- rebuilt injection pump + rebuilt 022 fuel injectors
- new heater valve
- new radiator + hoses
- new clutch
Future work to be carried out before show:
- interior revamp: new seat covers, gear lever gator, carpets, recovered binnacle, A post trim, glove box lid, mirror adjustment switch + window motors, original jack + spare wheel and interior light assembly
- re-furbed wheels
- windscreen replaced
We’re looking to arrange viewings for next week. The car is currently in Berkshire.
Ideally we’d like the buyer to be filmed as part of the TV show at EuroTec.
