When we go out on a NE PH'ers trip we tend to get a large group photo and pictures of the cars together, could we / are plans a foot for something similar at PF?

I know there are many more cars at PF, but could the cars not be arranged at some point for a large group photo? Would be great memento to see all the cars and the owners standing together in the middle of a field...

And yes, I think too much and ask too many questions.

Thats what I was thinking. Surely we have enough cars to make a huge PH or a Smiliy and Pistons?

Is there anywhere high enough to get a good shot?

I've finished now Handed that in by midnight on Monday

Devoting all my time to getting bored, increasingly miserable and thinking about Cairo / PistonFest

Size Nine I think has just given the answer - the Bunjee Jumping tower

Ted, could this be arranged?

Nice idea but we've got plenty on our plates currently (and that's just the pies).

Originally I wasn't thinking of a sign, just a large group of cars parked in say a semi-circle with all the owners in the middle... That huge VW would have taken an age to set up never mind organise.

Like paint the required shape on the field and ask people to park on it?

Doesn't sound THAT demanding.

Is there space available to do it if someone organised it outside of Pistonheads.com? Would the people who run the tower mind a photographer going up to take some shots (coming down might be fun for him as well ).

Or is this a no-go at all?

PMSL... people can't manage it at TESCO's how do you think it will be in a field..

Seriously, you need to map it out first, and as you say draw it out on the ground, then work out how many cars you need to fill it in, then get a registered list of cars, then work out the parking order, then get spotters to help get each one get parked up correctly... assuming it takes an average of 1 minute to get each car in position a circle of 150 cars is well over 2 hours.

Cheers,
Matt

For a kick off - these are PHers, not numpties.

So...zoom/roar/park. Average 1 minute each my arse.

Have several marshalls who are not thick and a big Q of waiting cars to be summoned on-site.

Doddle.

Getting a clear run at the site is probably the hardest part.

Or even easier....get whoevers going up in the microlight to take an aerial shot....Then you'd have aerial shots at different times of the day

We are there on Sunday doing the photos. Planning on going up in the microlite for a wide shot, but the bungee tower might also be a good idea. Getting people formally organized for it would be a serious undertaking, as far as moving cars goes. On a slightl smaller scale maybe we could arrange for everyone to group in a certain place at some point.

On a related note, think about whether you might interested in having your car photographed at PF and possibly featured in the Pistonheads calendar. There should be a form coming online soon to register interest.
