Went here yesterday, great too see how these events are getting bigger and more popular every day.some amazing bits of kit, a pritty dry track and many many clubs.

However i need too say somthing, and we see this at all action days. There are people on track who shouldnt be. They either think they are driving gods, are way to aggressive around other cars, pushing people out the way, in particular a middle aged man in a gold megane cup.

Secondly people who dont have a clue how to use the track, no idea of driving lines or what side or where to overtake. Namely where i was watching from camp and an orange mrk2 escort constantly ended up on the right hand side on the exit with some extreme wabbling, also an ek9 white and black civic doing the same.

Aswell as a damp session with the skoda club i viewed from camp and about four fabias that thought it was a good idea to come off throttle on the apex and were very lucky to control the slides.

Please people if you are doing these action days have some idea of how to drive your car, know the lines on the track or atleast some idea, and if you think you are a driving god, do it in your own space, dont try n force past other people.

I have been to these days for many many years, as driver and spectator and it seems to get worse, from now on im gona talk to these people and give them some advice, so if you find yourself being stopped by a randomer at castle combe next season, it may well be me having a rant.

thank you

When you mentioned the Skoda session i was almost expecting my driving to be commented on but i'm glad you didnt, must be doing something right?

It was extremely slippery at Camp and Old Paddock yesterday just as the rain came down, mixed with me deciding to run worn semi-slicks it made for some interesting moments...

Have to say there is no way I would have gone out there after watching some of the driving sessions frown I was watching a session when they Red flagged it, there had been yet another incident somewhere over the back of the circuit. Meanwhile the marshals had stopped the cars as they came round to the starting grid, then a driver drove past all the cars that were stopped! The marshals ran out and furiously waved the red flag at him and only then did he bother stopping! As I drove home, I saw a few cars on recovery trucks where the day had not ended well frown Even when standing in the pits the tale tale noise of cars loosing it on the bend before the start straight was frightening! I was waiting for that dull thud sound of bent metal frown

well im glad others have spotted this. Yes camp looked very slippy but people should drive accordingly. I have driven at combe several times in the wet and it is slick out there. But some of the guys spinning at camp were clearly off throttle and brake on the apex, big no no in the wet.

I will continue to drive at these days, but i take morning or late afternoon sessions as they tend to be quieter. But if i ever have any issues with drivers and having some common sense, they will get a talking to and be reported.

Im only 22 and was so surprised to see thats some of the said cars were driven by older blokes, tobe honest i was expecting guys my age or younger driving like idiots, but its obviously not the case.

Anyway I enjoyed the day and roll on next season, leys just hope entry rices dont keep going up.

The action days at Combe are always like that unfortunately. I would never take my car on track there on an action day.

Totally echo your sentiments. That nutter in the Megane cup should have driven a plough truck!
Can`t understand the mentality of some of these drivers but i still enjoy the day at Coombe.
