Na not really it is quite good, the top gear bit is to one side on the other is a huge classic car show which is brilliant.

If it's anything like last year, they send them out a week or so before the show.

I must be getting impatient then, I seem to remember lasts years coming out earlier but I think you're right as they arrived on OH b'day last year which is about a week before.

I guess the actaul Top Gear bit (MPH) could be classed as a bit kiddy, but IMO the Classic Car bit is a better place to see anything from old Riley's to GT40 etc etc..

I am only 16, and I went in 2009 but didn't see the 'Top Gear' crew but I will be going this year to see the 'Three Idiots'.

Yeah the price can be seen as a bit steep, but if you go to the Top Gear bit, then MPH show and then go to the Classic Car bit then basically you get three shows for £49. Not too bad and you see a whole variety of cars.

biggrin

Why is it for kids? confused

My OH got us tickets to go for my birthday - quite looking forward to it all including the top gear live show.

Surely if I enjoy the TV program I'll enjoy their live segment?? Looking forward to the exhibition and any other bits there as well.

Last year was pretty good, at one point they had two Porsches on fire racing around a scantily clad woman with a flamethrower biggrin

I'll be going but not to the top gear live show smile
I've been going for the past few years, not always gone to the top gear show though, seemed to get a bit repetitive. Now I just buy a ticket for the classic car show (£20) which includes entrance to MPH but not the top gear show smile

There isn't an MPH show this year, but there is a static Top Gear exhibition which appears to be based on the programme in as much as there are replica studio's and cars from the show challenges.
I know there are some supercars but the website is a bit sketchy as to whether they are on display or part of the shows themselves.
As has been said, the Classic Show really is a great show. As well as very old Bugatti's, original and recent gull wing Mercs last year also had the Oaklet design 458 and Mclaren F1 GTR.
I think the Classic bike show is there again this year, last year the ticket included this also.
Last, but far from least, those good folk from Sporting Bears will have their dream rides going which is well worth having a go at.
Even if you don't want a ride it's worth taking a look see just to see stuff like XJ220, Diablo, 1920's Bentley amongst others. If you do only take a look please feel free to make a donation anyway, I'm sure the SB's will appreciate any donations.

Yeah, certain there was another lass wearing a lot less but she wasn't the one with the flame thrower. Zoom lens can be very useful at times wink
