Charity Race Day Offers Rides For Cash
Snetterton hosts family day out for Ronnie McD projects
The inaugural Charity Race Day Experience at Snetterton on November 26th could be your chance to sample the supercar of your dreams - well from the passenger seat, at least.
The event is being organised by five local businessmen with a passion for cars, who have teamed up to create an event to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The aim of the RMHC is to provide free accommodation in or close to hospitals and hospices throughout the UK so families of seriously ill children can stay together whilst their child is being treated. The organisers, who are all Norwich-based are very keen to get one of these units built for the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.
Amongst the Race Cars that will be performing on the day, are two Aston Martin Vantage GT4 race cars, a Vauxhall VXR 8 V8 Cup, a BMW E30 DTM Schnitzer, a Ford Sierra 3 door Cosworth and a Renault Megane Dunlop production touring car. In addition, Carl Breeze, current Championship leader in the Ginetta GT races will be driving a Ginetta G50 race car.
We are also extremely pleased to have confirmed a number of fast road cars, including the McLaren MP4 12C, Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, Ferrari 430 Mode¬na, Radical SR3 RS, KTM X Bow, Mitsubishi Evolution 7, Vauxhall VXR 8, 1968 Ford (US) Cougar XR-7 and a Porsche Boxster S.
Throughout the day, visitors, including children over the age of 12 or measuring over 4'10" in height, will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of a lifetime, as they are taken round the track by a seasoned professional.
The organisers tell us they are also looking for groups or organisations who might be able to sup¬port the event on the day and any racing car owners who would like to take ad¬vantage of the opportunity to showcase their vehicle and their driving skills.
