Translated into a readable format

Brooklands Museum is hosting their renowned New Year day meet.

Pre 73' cars are in the paddock along with all pre-booked car clubs.

Gets to be a great start to the New Year, also the London to Cape Town endurance rally will start with the cars scrutineered at Brooklands before heading off at 4pm for the rally start in London.

do you have to pre-book a pre 73 or just turn up?

I've been to this event 2010 (very sunny) and 2011 (overcast but dry) and found a wide variety of interesting machinery.

Yhere is no need to book a pre 73 just follow signs to the Campbell gate entrance and you will be directed by one of the marshals {possibly me as i am one of the volunteers}.

I've recommended this meeting to a couple of classic car owners who live in Surrey who had no idea that this meeting existed. Trouble is they have usually put their cars in storage for the winter or have other family things on at the New Year's Day. I've emailed pics to them to show just how many vehicles turn up.

I think it is £10 or £9 if you have a pre 1973 car discounts for seniors and children.

Thats the thing that puts me off Brooklands, I go to a few events a year and pay £10 every time. I understand the place has running costs etc but nothing ever changes.

How many times can you walk round the same museum?

They should learn a lesson from Goodwood.
