Here is their forums.
www.nsra.org.uk/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=33
Look at the Nostalgia topics all they talk about is how a Ford Pop "blew a Ferrari away".

They seem to forget it was the other way around the next day!

So tempted to go on their forums and ask if they want to come to a trackday with us!
Wont do though as it may be taken the wrong way. Dont want to cause upset as all the ones I spoke to were a good bunch. Spent the Sunday morning in their paddock chatting to people about their cars. They have a real passion for it.
If any of them came on to PH I think they'd all find we have the same common interests.

At the end of the day we all want that jet engined car!

Look forward to seeing you at Thorny Island meet where I have entered to embarass myself in the Griff.

They have built these cars for straight lines and most have 2 gears. I dont know why the hot rodders jeered the Tivs. Invite them to a trackday

They also forget that most of us had never done it before. I think by Sunday we were getting better.

Still a lot of them were very friendly and offered good advice.

Great to take the car on the track and put on a little show

Don't see any point in engaging in debate. Although I would agree that there must be a certain pride in building cars which are capable of out-dragging even the best road cars. And then, they've had loads of practice and your average driver, even of TVR or Ferarri, won't be so practiced.

However, it was a lovely bunch of enthusiastic people and a joy to behold.

(Only "dubious" behaviour I saw was on the road outside and involved a Civic Type-R driver being a right t**t, nothing to do with the event - puts it well in perspective)

Has anyone compiled what PHers managed over the weekend?

The dragster we're building will accelerate over the quarter mile faster than a McLaren F1...

But, full lock will just about get the car from the Fire Up Lane to the far lane on the strip, it doesn't do corners!!

The hot-rod boys have always been known for having an "attitude" so it doesn't matter.. We had fun and that's what counts..

They were hardly going to give us a fair fight on their home turf tho were they!!!

Thats a very good point.
If they want to take up the trackday challenge then we'll give them a fair chance by only entering small engined 60's replica cars built by a little English company south of London.

I'd pay good money to watch one get out of the passenger side of JC's.... on slicks..... at Cadwell or any other lunch loss inducing track

Perhaps we could exchange a lap round a track in a 7 for a blip in the jet car

I didn't realise you were going down the strip again on the sunday, I missed that one. I enjoyed the drag racing I did see though, that purple Cerbrera was very quick.
Nice to meet you very nice car

Their excuse was the hotrods were all street legal, you could be up against one at the traffic light grand prix outside Safeways.

Somehow, I don't think they'll get much shopping in.

Well done lads - you all did marvellous. I really wanted to have a go myself.

It was good watching too.

Although we did look a little out of place with the Veuve and the picnic hamper
