Race Retro looks quite promising for an event, last weekend in February 2012.

Anybody been before? Worth it?

Race Retro is always a great event, have been there every year for the last 4 years as part of Club LanciaSport.

Loads of things to see, do and buy if you are so inclined, Saturday & Sunday have live Rally Stages with some of the worlds greats at the wheel. Also there is a large auto jumble to find those hard to source parts. You can also get the chance to drive the stage in some classic prepared vehicles.

Club LanciaSport will have another great display this year including amongst others:

Works Fanalone Fulvia ex Munari-Mannucci recently featured in Auto Italia
Works Martini 037 Corsa car in safari spec, as seen on Top Gear
Work OlioFIAT 037
Totip Gp N Delta integrale

I don't think I've missed one yet - nice informal event. Bit like ASI without the chavs. If you fancy a full weekend's motorsport, the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy is taking place at Silverstone on the Saturday.

Was a legendary day, i have to apologise to the herocar guys as i bent their alfa after being told to give it a bit of wellie.

Met JK and his SWB quattro, never realised he owned such cars, but i suppose like all petrol heads he holds a special place for group B. Was great meeting him.

I was quite disappointed, there were far fewer exhibitors than in past years, not many car clubs and much lower key than in the past. The live action Rally Cars were great.
A few years ago I actually went on two days because there was so much to see, this year I had seen it all in about 3 hours.
