Spa Circuit Visit - Advice

As an alternative to Classic Le Mans I'm thinking of a summer Spa event 6 hour or Classic.

I am interested to hear if anyone can add any useful advice as to where is best to stay (circuit!) or nearby, and other places of interest to see enroute or touring afterwards. Preferably of petrol head interest or scenic/challenging drives beyond the circuit.

Of course Nurburgring is within distance - again any advice or recommendations most welcome. Is it worth the treck from Spa?

loads of nice hotels around look on the circuit web site for details, book early if you are going to a big event as they fill up quickly. If camping is your bag then try the eau rouge camp site a few miles from the circuit
