Will there ever be a northern SS?

As per the title really. Will there be a Sunday service in the north? When I say north, anywhere north of Birmingham would probably do. So far all SS have been south and it's a bit far for northerners to attend.

There are loads of great venues up here too!

I meant own as in slomax personally. Organise it himself rather than wait for PH to do one.

PH SS started from people arranging meets down south, it was only as they gained popularity that they took on the organisation in order to help out and lend a bit a weight behind them to arrange money can't buy opportunities like we had today and at MB world etc.

Northern SS have been tried but have never been popular or well attended.
However, it's always worth a try, arrange a couple of meets and if there's a bit of momentum i've no doubt Garlick et al would help out

I thought Silverstone was in the North

It was a bit of a trek like, my car passed 27k miles today

The trouble is finding a free (as in no rental/ organisation/ hosting charges) venue that can hold 700 (no less than 500 as a minimum) cars. We've had a few suggestions but there's alway been a hitch somewhere.

If anyone has suggestions let me know, but please remember we need:

Easy access from main routes
Wet weather friendly
Toilets
Food and drink outlet capable of feeding around 1000 paying customers quickly
Free hire/ staffing and other logistics involved in holding an event
Something else to do (not just a lump of Tarmac in the middle of nowhere)
And a minimum of 500 spaces

PH offers calendar list, coverage and gate staff. The venue looks after the rest.

I don't really want to look at venues where entry fees or management fees are expected, nor small capacity places. Sorry

Another SS on the 1st yes, but not at Silverstone....

There's nout up here worth visiting like so keep them down south. Gives me an excuse to go down some country lanes anyway
