LM24, Nur 24 et al costs?
Discussion
Might as well make this my intro post.
Depends on how you wish to go about it all really. I generally budget for £80 per 200 miles on fuel so depending on how far your traveling it's easy to roughly work out what you'll be spending on fuel.
Next up is accommodation, prices can be kept low if your happy to pitch a tent and camp or there is obviously an increase in cost if you wish to stay in hotels. For LM I travel with the Stratstone Mayfair Group and that is £1,100 for the trip. So with fuel around £1,500 all in cover hotels, eurotunnel, free bar for 5 days etc. On the flip side I have friends that take a camper van and pitch and there costs are a small fraction of this. Sharing a car to split fuel costs it's easily achievable for under £500.
It's really preference on what you want to take from the experience there is no real right or wrong either way it's a great experience it just depends whether you enjoy peeing into a bottle and queuing for a toilet with the previous 30 peoples feces all over the porta-loo or having your own toilet and warm bed and en-suite.
It's really criminal not to try and experience the camping scenario it'll generally leave you with memories to remember and also you end up making friends with groups of good people with like minded interests into cars.

From memory of my first trip to Le Man with my mates budget for £350-£400 each.
That will cover race ticket each, campsite ticket for the car, ferry for the car, diesel and spending money for supermarket runs and some beers. That is doing it on a budget thought.
Usually me and the lads book camping and tickets 6 months in advance, with the ferry a few months before. That's about £120 each for Le Man, going in 3 to 4 cars.
We then take about £500 each in cash to cover spending money and fuel. A diesel Astra will use about £100 in fuel, my TVR uses about £300 which is split between the passenger and driver.
We then throw £50 into a kitty for booze and food at the local supermarket and top it up as needed. That leaves between £200 and £400 in spending money.
Total cost is about £600 each for a reasonable time.
The ring is about the same, the drive is longer but pretty much all motorway. Maybe budget an extra £50 - £100 for that.

Sounds about the ballpark figure I was thinking....£500-£600 That will cover race ticket each, campsite ticket for the car, ferry for the car, diesel and spending money for supermarket runs and some beers. That is doing it on a budget thought.
