Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone was up for doing the landsend to lowerstoft run i.e Midnight Run next weekend??

There was a group on facebook which has recently been cancelled, but there's a couple of us that are up for it still.

Plan is to travel to landsend on Friday 3rd August, stay the night, doss about Sat day and set off just after sun set on Sat night, traveling through the night to see the sunrise at lowerstoft.

Jezza done it on top gear in a jag XF, it looked epic !!!

If there is anyone else up for this let know and we can get a group of together for a fun night of driving !!

Yep I'm up for this. Already booked the hotel before I knew the event was cancelled. Me and a friend going down on the Friday and having a night away from the kids. We were planning to do the challenge on the Saturday night regardless of whether it was official or not.

Are you chaps going ahead with this? If so i'd be interested in learning how it goes, any issues, points to look out for, route taken - always wanted to do this.

Just completed the challenge today. The route is pretty simple. A30, M5, M4, M25 then A12 to lowestoft. The main problem is trying to stay awake as all the motorway driving is quite monotonous. However being major roads there are loads of services to stop and recharge. We stopped 4 times and made it with about 10 minutes to spare.
