Spa 6hr Classic 2012, any one going
Discussion
4 car loads of us going this time via Tunnel, WS6 Firebird, Mustang, Cobra and a not sure yet. Just wondered if any one else from here was going this year. This will be me & the wifes 5th year on the trot and so far we've had 3 years of glorious sunshine and one of total drizzle so lets pray for a sunny one.
we're off on the Thursday and leave Francorchamps on the Sunday midday to head down to the old Reims circuit for some pics at the old grandstands then in to Epernay on Monday for a tour of the Champagne cellars then head for home Monday eve.
Shame P/Heads wont be doing the cheap entry and vip bar again as that was brill last year.

Mr Mods, if you don't feel this link to my pics is appropriate please remove.

I shall be there with a couple of mates. Heading out on Fri evening to overnight in Calais then over to Spa on Sat morning.
Like the OP, this is my 5th year and hoping the weather is like last yr not the yr before!
It is indeed a shame that PH is not offering the discount and lounge to 'independent' travellers this year. I suppose restricting it to packgage buyers ensures they cover their costs.
See you all there.

Myself and a good few others from here are going, the numbers are at around 20. There is a thread running in the Cerbera forum about it :

I am on the tunnel on Thursday morning 8.20 TVR Tuscan, Nissan 370, Ferrari Testarossa, Lambo Contach
Heard from the travel people that the roads to Spa are jammed with road works lot and lots of them, and best to go to Lille via France then head to Liege.
We are going Via A26 to pick up the A2 to Valenciennes then the E42 straight through 4 hours according to Google.

I'm going Friday on the 7.20am tunnel, staying at a hotel in spa Friday and Sat.
My friend Spencer is racing a lotus cortina in the 6 hours, really looking forward to it as haven't been to spa for over 3 years since a trackday.
Off to Nurburgring for the day Sunday as its open for a full day, if anyone else is going I'd like to tag along rather than trundling down on my own. always more fun then! then got a hotel there sun and back home monday.

may see you at the tunnel. We were going via E40/A10 but not sure now whether to do your route for a change, I'll see what the navigator has to say about it.Heard from the travel people that the roads to Spa are jammed with road works lot and lots of them, and best to go to Lille via France then head to Liege.

Thanks for the offer m8, but we've arranged to meet at the Halfway House on the A127 for 5.50am. Navigators decided to take the A10/E40 and cross her fingers.
Keep an eye out for my Flaming chicken, subtle it's not, lol.

Was wondering how I was gonna recognise the PH lot when I get there Keep an eye out for my Flaming chicken, subtle it's not, lol.

Will be arriving well after dark tomorrow but I guess this should be an easy spot. Keep us a pitch spare and a beer cold!
sorry to disappoint you but I had my fill of camping in the wet for this year at the Le Mans Classic, so for spa we've got 4 luxury caravans booked about 5 miles from the circuit, you may see the flaming chicken in the shopping center paddocks though.
Had a report from a friend, who's sister lives near Spa and by all accounts it's a tad chilly over there at the mo and the forecasts for rain sat & sun. They also report (her husband runs a haulage firm) no road work or jams on the A10/E40 road (except for some late night resurfacing)

I will be trying to make another video like the one I made last year:
