Over on the Porsche forum there are a few 'doubters' as to the validity of my modded 6TT's c550 bhp.

I bought the car from Malton, with this claim in the ad, but felt the car was quick enough for me, so did the deal. Those who know me well will know its the driving that does it for me, not pub bragging. I haven't bothered with getting it dyno'd.

I know there's lots of you with Pork in various states of tune from various purveyors of power, so based on 191 through the traps and only bettered by Vixpy's hybrid k24 car on the day In Pork (Overboost), what power is needed for 190+?

Should we log car, VMax day (with weather conditions), expected power and of course VMax as a benchmark?

Thanks in advance.

In mine you need 600 to pull 190+ down Brunters in a Porker about 550 so you have your Power bud dont worry.

Thanks guys.

Can't stop the large extendable rear spoiler coming up, so that must cause a lot of extra drag force at speen whilst reducing rear lift.

Front didn't feel as bad as I thought it might and we did have a significant cross wind at Overboost too.

I need to check Dazren's VMax as I think he has a bog stock X50.

Mine dynoed at 580bhp and I pulled 197mph on the same day as Stu at VMAX, however that was with bugger all air to the intercoolers on the dyno(one of the reasons I won't dyno customer cars) I would say its 600bhp based on the injector duty.

I would however say that I think 530bhp is usual for an X50 on a remap, and about 490bhp on a non X50.

Mine's supposed to be cats & exhaust mods too.

DMS quote 520 for mapped X50's in the Evo review.

Soph runs my 996 Tip with an Evoms map on the std K16's dyno'd at 490ish.
She has run a consistant 188 and she is running an aerokit.
My std GT2 was running 189 same day.
I would say you are short of 550, however it all depends on the conditions on the day. Also wether you are running std X50 intercoolers, if so no way are you maintaining power at Vmax.

7GT2RS ic's seem a no brainer, for the modest outlay don't they if as effective as Ken states (which I don't doubt).

Cheers Jez.

Sadly I spent on some Forge intercoolers for the TT before Ken discovered the 7GT2RS coolers which would have been a fair deal less. We haven't run the car in anger since either so who knows how good they actually are.
Money's going on the Monaro as the focus is a 220 but I am hoping to take the 2 to Ken for a map and intake next year as the car won't be done and I can't wait that long to play.
I would expect solid 190's from the 2.

Hi Stu, another Malton car owner here.

Have a chat with Johnny back at Malton, he must have some documentation clarifying and confirming the work carried out, job cards for the workshops etc.

RS inter coolers now fitted & 2 new turbo's. 9E also checked/rectified numerous other 'issues' you wouldn't expect after a service (elsewhere), like filters/plugs/cracked coil pack & a damaged rear tyre.

Need to get it back to Brunters again in due course.

Realise Craig has other priorities at the moment.
