Hi,

Time for the next "Cars in the Park" part III, and the last one for the year. The first two have been brillient, got to meet a lot of people. TVR and non TVR, all are welcome as usual. Meeting time is for around 11:00 and we have the usual reserved parking. Just enough time to get the BBQ burning bright for dinner.

Can you add your name to the calendar. This let's eveyone know what delights will be there

Cheers
Chris

In the Calendar it's down as "Harewood House". Are we there this time or still at Bolton Abbey?

Originally Harewood house but they wanted far too much money for entrance fee. Also, they don't like BBQ's So the next do will be old reliable Bolton Abbey. I might actually make an effort next year to get more venues. Just been far too busy this year.

Negotiate

Harewood is an excellent venue with much to offer it terms of entertainment for all ages. You now have knowledge of the normal turnout so Harewood could gain more confidence in their expected income. It's not a negotiation unless both sides give away ground. In our case I would be happy to pay more because Harewood would give us so much more. In the end Harewood either get an income from this or they don't. We are literally offering them £X to park some cars. There is no out of pocket costs for them so they either take what we offer or we take our money elsewhere.

So are we going to arrange the Lakes Invasion for another time, it would be a shame to overlap.

Hi,

I'll negotiate next year when we have three events behind us. I will also need to find another venue. So we have three meets and thee venues, but that's next year. I just have enough time to do a quick meet this year.

Still, Bolton Abbey is nice. Should be very picturesque in autum.

I'm not very good at planning ahead but will make a great effort to be there as I too really enjoyed the last one I attended (The first).

Yeah, Harewood House might be a bit better venue , but as Chris said, he hasn't had much time and there's always next year.

There's nowt wrong with Bolton Abbey anyway.

Cheers Chris.

I'll sort something out (once I get over there to get the route planned the date can be arranged).

There are more people who attend CIP than will the Lakes Invasion, kinda says which event takes importance doesn't it
