ALMS Sebring 12 hr race - March 13th to 16th 2013

Now that I'm living in the USA I figure it's about time to get to some 'local' events.

Has anyone been to previous Sebring 12 hour races?

I've been to LeMans 3 times and loved the whole weekend including the trip there. 1163 miles from NYC though! Is Sebring similar to LeMans then? A weekend of sun, beer and motorsport?

Any advice, experiences greatly appreciated.
