Right the count down has started, less than 10 weeks to go!

Planning is well under way with some of the club members reviewing the site today with regards to changes for this year. More details to follow but it was pretty cold and empty today.





Will keep you all updated with info. Usual place though Rushmoor Arena, Aldershot, Surrey.

What is this event? Aldershot a not too far from me.

This was a great event last year, it was huge. I didn't really get the rules for entry though as I was directed to the normal car park in my Spitfire... do you need to sign up first?

The event is aimed at American and custom cars, so unless your Spitfire is modified they probably didn't think you wanted to exhibit.

Would I be able to though- as you can see above there was another Spitfire there parked up in the grounds!

What time does it start and stop and what is the entry price?.

Entry has been £5 for the last few years,opens 8-9am.

Re not being invited into show ground .What time did you get there ? as it fills up

quite early and maybe they restrict it to Americans and Customs after a while.

My Cosworth has been shown twice there aand they do allow most "interesting" cars in.

Hoping they let me in this year in the Fiat ?????.

10:30 is quite late to be getting to Wheels Day. Most try to get there earlier to avoid the queues - which can be huge if the weather's good. We queued for nearly an hour 3 years ago, hence going earlier now. Wouldn't miss it though, possibly the best show of the year? Might be quieter this year as Easter is earlier and the weather might be worse?

There is no entry requirement to my knowledge, pretty much anything goes....but I'd guess they get more fussy as it starts to fill up. Last year was rammed and we didn't manage to see it all despite arriving early and walking around all day.

Going to this with a few friends this year, first time i'll have been without a yank to take .
Previously in my 56 Chevy Wagon and then later in 64 Buick LeSabre Looking forward to it, shame no bar this year but I'm actually pleased no live band.

PS why no bar licence is an easy work around with raffle tickets.

It was a cracking day last year I'll be there again for sure, might even take both classics down there this year.

One memory of last year... in the queue to get in, sat in the Jensen, keeping an eagle eye on the temp gauge

My hairdresser is married to one of the organisers - she told me it did come very close to being cancelled The MOD chap who runs the bit of land has started being extremely awkward! Last I heard though, it was definitely on!

I'm in North Camp later this morning, I'll pop in and check
