I've just been looking at their website http://www.silverstoneclassic.com/

The music alone is ticking all the boxes for me , I notice Pistonheads is listed as a partner , is there a club stand ? want a shiny old Ford on it ?? I am thinking the weather will be somewhat better this year laugh

I'll be there with my Hawk as usual. Actually, as I remember it, the weather's been pretty good these last few years. Loads of horrendously dark clouds passing by in the distance leaving Silverstone bathed in sunshine.

I've jinxed the weather now, haven't i?

It was a bit wet last year during the week or so before and on the Friday. My usual campsite was water logged...hope it's better this year.

The Stratos Enthusiasts' Club were moved from the mud by the old Bridge turn which is our usual place, to hard standing. It obviously made sense to the organisers to move these rally inspired cars to firmer ground.

biggrin

We did laugh when we saw the Land Rovers on hardstanding and the TVR and Porsche clubs on the grass. You do wonder whether being an event organiser requires any sort of logic...

Should be crewing balloons there again this year.

Passed the TR7OC to land in the middle of the circuit last year. Awesome.

I just noticed that my car is in that photo, in the line of Stratos replicas. Mine is the one under the flipping car cover.

Must get sorted with this shortly. Think it'll be a one-day trip this time as I've got a very expensive motor racing year in prospect.

What time of day is that?
I see my old orange 'TR7' is next your covered one.

I will have a spare 3 day ticket for this event, if you know anyone that need one?

That was taken early on Sunday morning. I had left my car there overnight under its cover and went back to Northampton with Mrs & Master Blib.
