We were all set to make a weekend of it for the WEC at Silverstone on 12th/13th/14th April but I think the cold weather is going to put pay to the camping idea. Is there any there any other cheap alternatives around the area??

Travelodge Towcester want £76 per room per night!

I stayed in the kings head in syresham , a small village pub just about half a mile from the travel lodge .
You stay in small rooms up the side of the pub , think I paid £54.
It's ok , no frills and the dinner was a bit pricey , , but it does have a nice proper fire in the pub .

Im going to the WEC too. I went with Buckingham travelodge smile 7.5 miles away from the track and £30 for the night. Sometimes the rate goes up, then comes back down again. Keep checking.

I have a night booked in Milton Keynes Old Stratford Travelodge and another at Bedford South Premier Inn...both around £50 for a double room

Many years ago we stayed in a place at Stoney Stratford I think it was, knew it was cheap as that's where all the Journo's were staying for the F1 too.

Can't remember the name but I'll do a little Googling see if I can find anything.

The Travelodge prices drop quite dramatically as you move away from Silverstone (when an event is on).
