Spa June Summer Classic, anyone going
Discussion
Just wondered if any one else was popping along to this in June, there's 10 of us going from the Snaketorque mob. Me and the wife have been to this event for the past 5 years and love the total lack of crowds. The amount of classic cars that turn up to race at this meet is normally quite good, not as good as the Spa 6Hr but it's a damn sight warmer sitting out side the caravan at night having beers and a barbie in June than in Sept, lol.
Our little groups gonna consist of a = 2000 reg WS6 Trans Am, TVR Chim, V6 MR2 ferrari wannabe an MGB and 2 Cobras so if you see us floating about Spa give us a toot

Hi AC Bilko,
Me and my sensible half are going again this year. It really is a fantastic event isn"t it. We went for the first time last year and like you said, the lack of crowds is great. I still remember the tingle down my spine seeing Vincent Gaye overtaking at Eau Rouge in his Ferrari 250 GT as though the others were stood still. What a driver. We"ll be in a Guards red 996 C4S and will sure give you a hoot and a wave if we see you. Have you received your tickets yet cos we haven"t and it"s getting a bit close.
Bon Voyage.

We're not waiting on any tickets Rich, we've book a few mobile homes at a brill little campsite about 5 miles from the circuit, hope yours arrive soon.
We're going over on the Thurs and back on Monday, gonna pop in to Bray Dunes to see the old German gun emplacements on the beach there, on the return trip.
If you wanna get away from the circuit for a while pop along to the caves at Remouchamps while your at Spa, really easy to find and a nice way to spend and hour

Thanks for that and if we get chance we'll have a look at Remouchamps. One place we must see this time is the Spa museum in Stavelot Abbey as we had a really busy schedule last time and didn't manage it. I planned a petrol head road trip for us and two friends which after Spa took us to the Nurburgring, Stuttgart for the Porsche museum and factory tour, the Schlumpf museum at Mulhouse then back up via the old circuit at Reims. Even though we had been to some places before, this was definitely a holiday to remember. I'm a lucky chap having my mrs/navigator putting up with all these petrol fumes even though she does sometimes say "you drive like a t
t" I'm sure she doesn't mean it.
