Great work slinky.

So that's 9 of 30 cars looking capable of hitting the double-ton. Think I'll be standing by the timing lights with a video camera!

An slight error.

The engine size of the TVR T350 is 3605 not 3900

Slinky,

Seems Goodlife (Jag XKR) might not be coming.

I'm definately coming, just maybe not in the Shag-u-r as it's a bit fecked at the moment.

Got a mate with a Tuscan that we might bring along instead.

Or perhaps another mates 996 GT2 if it's fixed in time (see www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=48&h=&t=128825).

Last option would be the wifes Landcruiser - which would surely get the highest VMAX of all runs along the grass next to the runway

Holy crap look at those average figures. The average car being over 400bhp and doing sub 10 secs 0-100 mph.

Just reading this month's Evo, Dickie Meaden couldn't even hit 190 mph in the Macca/Merc SLR at Brunters. I think it will take a really special car to crack 200 mph at Vmax. I think Gman's car would have had the best chance, but as he can't go, I'm not hopeful anyone will do it.

The conditions in that MacMerc test were "sodden". If V Max VI is dry and there is not too much headwind (there have actually been tailwinds in the past) then the double ton should be reached. Possibly by a few.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Ruf R Turbo hit a real 200 @ Vmax V (I think that's the number, it was the one that 456Mgt displayed the rather fine brand new 360CS!)

Adam's car definitely hit 200mph. He had speedo readings of 207 and 208mph, but then he went out for a few runs with a GPS tracker and had 200mph on that.
